Matanuska Glacier Zipline Adventure
The G2
We drive you to the top of the cliff, over 250 feet above the Matanuska River. Enjoy the amazing view of the mountains, river, and glacier before stepping off the deck for a high-speed zip over 2,200 feet long!
There are dual ziplines, so you can race a friend to the end of the line!
People find the G2 launch easy, but the thrill hits 2 seconds later when you go over the edge of the cliff and the ground drops 250 feet! Challenge your friends to a race on the G2 zipline—double the rides, double the adrenaline, and ultimate bragging rights!
- Length: 2,200 feet (670 meters, almost a half mile)
- Speed: 45 – 60 miles per hour (maximum recorded speed is 63 mph.)
- Height: The launch deck is 12 feet high on a cliff 250 feet above the river.
What to bring:
- We recommend clothing that is able to tuck in or zip up as to avoid loose clothing hazards.
- It is particularly important to have a zippered pocket for valuables like keys, wallets, and cell phones!
- Warm and waterproof layers (weather is subject to change throughout the day)
- Hiking friendly footwear as walkways lead through forested areas.
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Camera
